The Workflow Services platform provides clients the ability to integrate QuidelOrtho Sofia2 devices into our database. This Feature Guide will cover the basics of connecting a Sofia2 device to the Workflow Services platform.
A quick reminder that this is not required to test a patient in our platform: You can manually enter a result, which we would recommend for smaller institutions who are only doing a handful of tests per week.
Prior to set up you will need the following:
Sofia2 device
Supervisor credentials (either factory default or custom to your site)
Sofia2 User Manual (for reference)

IP Address of the Workflow Services server to send data to

To set up the Sofia2 device:
Turn on the Sofia2 device.
When turning on Sofia 2 for the first time, Sofia 2 will prompt you to enter the ZIP Code
where it is located. Select the checkmark to confirm and continue to the next screen.Log in to the device using Supervisor credentials.

First, we’ll set the Entry Requirements.

Open the settings menu and choose Entry Requirements and Timeout
Set User ID to be Required or Optional. No specific setting is needed for the integration.
Set Patient ID to Disabled
Set Order ID to Required

Proceed through the rest of the set up instructions outlined in the User Manual.

Next, we’ll set the LIS Settings.
Open the settings menu, Supervisor Menu, then Network Settings, then LIS Settings

Enter in the IP Address & LIS Port.
Set LIS IP Address to the IP provided by ImageMover. If the URL you use to access Workflow Services is https://pharmacy.workflowserivces.com, please use this IP: 3.232.64.47. If your URL is different, please contact support@imagemover.com for help.
Set LIS Port to 11011
Set Auto Send to On
If your device is plugged in with an ethernet cable, it will automatically set the Connection Interface to Default. Otherwise, choose your Connect Interface setting preference to Default or Cellular. No specific setting is needed for the integration.
